An Event to Remember!

The Details
Formal attire and elaborate masks were the norm at the Summit Banquet Center on Saturday June 21st. Celebrating on the longest day of the year, the revelers were amazed by the feats of the Velocity Circus and Gregangelo. The most elaborate decor was courtesy of local volunteer cosmetologists who spent hours painting a fantastic vision onto the body of a patient model.
The Spectacle
We are proud to offer the spectacular talents of Gregangelo and Velocity Circus of San Francisco for your entertainment. They will astound, mesmerize and surprise your senses with four amazing spectacle acts. Fire, Feathers, Fantasy and a little Flesh!

The Awards
The ACSV Roelandts Awards of Distinction recognized the contributions of an individual and organization who have made a meaningful and substantive difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS here in Silicon Valley and beyond. The outstanding individual award went to Dr. Michael Harbour, who has labored tirelessly and most effectively to help those with HIV/AIDS from Silicon Valley to Boston. The annual organization honor will go to the Los Altos Rotary Club, a service organization that has educated the public, changed attitudes about the illness and supported those that are afflicted with the disease by producing the video "The Los Altos Story".
The annual awards have a new name this year – the Roelandts ACSV Achievement Awards – renamed in honor of Wim Roelandts, chairman of the board of Xilinx, Inc., and Maria Constantino-Roelandts who have worked, both personally and professionally, to support those with AIDS and the cause of AIDS prevention in our own backyard.

The Proceeds
Unmask the Mysteries is organized by the AIDS Coalition Silicon Valley to support our efforts to fund nine local HIV/AIDS Service and Prevention organizations. They are: AIDS Emergency Fund, AIDS Legal Services, Bill Wilson Center, The Health Trust AIDS Services, Asian Americans for Community Involvement, Community Health Partnership, ProLatino de San Jose, Billy DeFrank LGBT Community Center, and the ACSV Advocacy Project. Additional funds have also been used to support EHC Life Builders.
